Breakfast in bed is always available, the choice is yours. We operate our dining rooms in a comfortable and relaxing setting. We encourage families to join their relative/friends for lunch.

Activities at Primley - Residents activities & clubs

Here at Primley House we believe in taking care of the mind as well as the body. To that end we provide daily activities to stimulate the mind, and our residents are invited to join in.
We have a variety of things we do including puzzles, word games, card games, musical memories, general knowledge quizzes and of course bingo!
Along with daily activities we have different entertainers coming into the home every month. We also have a full social calendar, that family and friends are invited to come and enjoy with us.

Special events held throughout the year include Christmas and Easter parties,

A garden fete, Mothers’ Day High Tea, A teddy bear’s picnic (for the grandchildren), Halloween party, sing-a-longs, and fashion shows.
Residents, families, and staff are invited to join in with our fundraising evenings, quiz nights, curry nights and concerts.
All proceeds from those events go to providing entertainment for the residents. All events are advertised on the ‘What’s On’ board in the entrance to the home, and on Facebook ... View our photo gallery.
Each week we take our Shopping Trolley around to every room and the residents can purchase sweets, chocolates, and toiletries that they may require.
Daily newspapers and magazines can be ordered and delivered to the residents.
We have our own mini-bus which we utilise on a regular basis, going to various hotels and clubs throughout the Torbay area sampling their cream teas. We have arranged trips to the Princess Theatre in Torquay, and to The Willows shopping centre followed by tea and cake in the Tea Rooms.

We would like to express our gratitude for the wonderful care you gave my brother. It is a comfort to know that he was with people he knew and care for him, in his final days. Best wishes to you. Peter H
I just wanted to say a few words of appreciation for all the acre and compassion you gave to my father over the last 3 years. I realise it hasn't always been an easy time for yourselves. with Dad's deteriorating mental health and behaviour, but I always knew, whatever the circumstances, everyone would do their very best for him. Whenever I visited, he would always, without fail, tell me how well-treated and cared for he was. In addition, on top of everything else, you have had to deal with an unprecedented pandemic. Therefore, on behalf of the family, I wish you all health and happiness and our sincere gratitude. Andy P
My mother-in-law has recently gone to live in Primley House and we have been very happy with how quickly she has settled in. We attribute this to the very kind staff and the friendliness offered at the home. She likes the food, the gardens and her room. We are very pleased. Ian M
After my father passed away my mother was not able to care for herself. We all felt concerned with moving her into a 'home'. However, I can honestly say this has been a revelation - Primley House is wonderful starting at the top management down to all the staff, it is friendly, caring, lovely gardens, good housekeeping and good food. I cannot think of a negative and as a family, we are very happy with every aspect of the care. I can recommend it highly enough. Sylvia R
My family would like to thank the staff at Primley House for the ongoing care they provide, the home is always very clean and smells nice, the food is excellent and served in a very nice dining room, there are also daily activities organised. Thanks again to all the excellent staff. Maureen W
Thank you so much to a wonderful team at Primley House. Your care, compassion, kindness and dedication to each and every resident is amazing. I cannot think of anywhere better for my Mum to have stayed for her respite. The food is brilliant, it is spotlessly clean and the room my Mum stayed in was lovely and welcoming. You have such a wonderful atmosphere both inside and outside and the attention to detail is spot on. Thank you, each and every one of you. Jo K
